The last stage of rock lobster larvae, when lobster larvae change from the floating planktonic distribution stages to the stage that settles onto the seabed. Surveys to estimate the density of rock lobster pueruli that settle on the seabed are sometimes used to provide indices of future recruitment strength in rock lobster fisheries.
